Liz has spent her career in employment law as an investigator and former employment law attorney. In her legal career, she represented businesses and individuals as head of the employment law practice of a regional Denver law firm, and saw first hand what can happen when investigations are not done right the first time.
Liz has been investigating claims in the workplace since 1994, when she conducted investigations under a nationwide consent decree of the Civil Rights Division of the Justice Department. Since then, Liz has provided workplace investigations to cities, school boards, fire protection districts and police departments, multi-national corporations, federal agencies and family-run businesses. Claims have involved all substantive areas of employment law, including harassment, sexual assault and rape, discrimination, misconduct, securities fraud and insider trading, ethics misconduct, retaliation and corruption. She is a recognized expert in workplace investigations and has spoken and written on this subject for a variety of audiences over the years.
Liz attended Colorado College and Boston University School of Law. She is a Sustaining Member of the Association of Workplace Investigators, and founded the Colorado chapter of this, the most well-respected professional organization of workplace investigators in North America.
